What if I got rejected by NUS Dentistry?
honest reflections from a Singapore Dentist
When I applied for dentistry, I knew how competitive it was, so I made sure I had backup plans. going overseas was not part of the plan.
Looking back, I’m grateful that I eventually earned a place to study dentistry locally. But I also believe having a plan B is equally important.
If you’re applying for university this year, remember that one application outcome doesn’t define your future. Prepare well, keep your options open, and don’t be afraid to have backup plans.
hello! i’m Dr Watt Sook May, your neighbourhood dentist here in singapore 👋 BDS MDS (Orthodontics) (Singapore). i did my undergrad dental degree locally, then went on to spend 3 more years doing my masters in orthodontics.
I’ll be sharing more about my journey into dental school, university applications, and what studying dentistry in Singapore was really like later this year, so follow along if you’re interested.
